Cat finds new home with his dad

Inseparable father and son duo Reggie and Ernie are finding their paws in a new home together, thanks to Blue Cross.

Ernie, two, and dad Reggie, three, came into the care of our Burford rehoming centre after their owners moved home and were unexpectedly told they were not allowed to keep pets.

Although the pair struggled with the initial upheaval, the friendly boys soon started to feel relaxed in the presence of familiar carers.

But the main thing that carried them through this difficult time was each other. They could often be found allorubbing and relaxing together in their shared pen.

Hannah Wiltshire, Centre Manager, says: “They were both very nervous and shut down onsite initially and it took a while for them to come out of themselves.

“But they were cuddled up together the whole time whilst hiding and then became very affectionate with us and obviously each other.”

So, it was crucial to find them a new home together. After 23 days in our care, they found just that.
