Training and education resources

From lesson plans for teachers to information for pet owners, we have a list of resources to support you.

Activities and lesson plans for teachers

We’ve produced teaching resources for all ages in consultation with teachers and our education department. From KS1 right through to KS3, download everything you need to engage with your children with responsible pet ownership.

Resources for college courses

For students studying animal care, management or veterinary nursing, our lesson plan and video presentations give a good overall view of animal welfare charities and how they work, with specific reference to the way we care for and rehome pets at Blue Cross.

We have created an online lesson plan for college teachers of Level 1, 2 and 3 Animal Management or Animal Care.

Campaigns and public affairs

At Blue Cross, we also work on various campaigns. An insight into one of our campaigns can be found in our video presentation on Blue Cross campaigns and public affairs.

We can sometimes accommodate college placements in our centres. It very much depends on the centre and the operational requirements at the time.

If you are hoping for a college placement in one of our rehoming centres, it is best to enquire with the centre manager of the rehoming centre closest to you.
